Vega testing has become increasingly popular over the last few years because it is simple and painless and results are instantaneous. The testing is performed using a pen-like stylus and a hand-held electrode which are connected to a Vega machine. A variety of different substances including foods, chemicals etc are placed on the machine and the patient’s response is measured by observing the reading on the meter. If a particular substance is not tolerated by the body a lower than normal reading would be indicated, bio-electronic analyzer which measures the body’s electrical resistance to these substances. If a substance is causing a problem then it there will be a dip or drop in body’s electrical resistance.
How long does it take?
A food intolerance test takes about 2 hours. After discussing any symptoms you are currently experiencing, we will take a look at your diet and general health before carrying out the testing.
